The extensive testing by "Computer Bild"
From late September to mid-October 2020, several thousand consumers from all over Germany were surveyed about their experiences with providers of various smart home products. Over 800 brands in areas such as smart gardening, lighting, heating, energy, fitness, entertainment, household, and sensors were evaluated in 35 product categories. In total, around 28,000 ratings were collected for individual criteria such as quality, price-performance ratio, usability, design, durability, and installation. These ratings were included in the overall brand evaluation.
The test in numbers
Several thousand people were surveyed in the consumer tests. 51.7% were between 18 and 44 years old, 32.9% between 45 and 59 years old.
