I treated a man whose entire left outer side, from the navel downwards, was covered in a nearly continuous bruise. At the transition from the Achilles tendon to the calf muscle (M. gastrocnemius), a severe thrombosis occurred, characterized by extremely hot tissue, significant swelling, and high pain potential even with the slightest touch.
I treated the patient's bruise with the emmi®-skin Intense handheld device, the size L ultrasound attachment, Thermoeffect warming foam, and emmi®-bio myo.
For the first two weeks, I treated the thrombosis with microcurrent, as I considered the warmth of the thermofoam a contraindication.
My patient found the treatment very pleasant. He – and I – was surprised by the very rapid disappearance of the bruises. The only area where I "bit my teeth" a little was the remnants of the lower leg thrombosis, which I also treated with bio myo and ultrasound from the second week onwards. I worked on resolving this thrombosis for a total of four weeks until the tissue was again mobile and free of inflammation. However, the result was worth it: The leg is fully mobile again, and my patient has started light running training again, which has been possible without further issues so far.
