Description
Description
In public transport (ÖPNV) and when shopping, or wherever it is difficult to maintain the minimum distance, it is recommended to wear a so-called everyday mask. A makeshift mask can help protect others from infection.
General hygiene measures such as thorough hand washing are of course still enormously important. To protect other people, you can now purchase a mouth-nose mask from emmi®-dent online.
Our face masks are also used in the medical field and have the following performance features:
- Particle-filtering half mask without valve according to European regulation on personal protective equipment 2016/425
- Snug fit, easily adapts to all face shapes
- suitable for single use
Mask Fit
Press the nose clip firmly against your nose to ensure a tight fit. Check the seal of the mask with a breath test. The mask must be noticeably sucked onto the face when inhaling.
If air enters the mask around the nose, correct the fit using the nose clip. If the mask's fit is generally too loose, twist the ear loops by 180° into a figure eight.
The mask should be changed as soon as ...
...the mask's seal is no longer intact, e.g., due to a hole, or if it no longer fits snugly after prolonged use.
...the breathing resistance noticeably increases, for example, if the mask is soaked due to contamination.
Possible Problems
It is unlikely that the leakage requirements will be met if facial hair is present between the mask's sealing line and the face. The mask provides protection against particles; it offers no protection against gaseous substances. Ensure adequate air quality regarding (gaseous) contaminants and oxygen content; do not use in explosive atmospheres. If the mask is damaged, please do not use it again. If the mask does not fit tightly (see Mask Fit), sufficient protective effect cannot be guaranteed. Only put on the mask with clean hands to avoid contamination. The mask does not protect against dolomite dust.
Duration of use
The mask is intended for a single shift (approx. 8 hours) under normal use. The mask is for single use only.
Putting on and taking off the mask
- Open the mask with the nose clip at the top and place it over your mouth and nose.
- The edge with the nose clip must rest on the bridge of your nose. Adjust the mask and press the nose clip onto the bridge of your nose.
- Place the ear loops over your ears on both sides.
- Check the tightness of the mask.
- To remove the mask, pull the ear loops forward over your ears. The outside of the mask may be contaminated with aerosols. Avoid contact.
By additionally wearing a face shield, you can minimize the risk of infection for yourself and others.
